Before you begin:
When a new person comes into an agency to take over for someone who left, you need to update the data mappings from the person who left to the new person taking over for them. This guide shows how to map existing clients to a new account.
Locate the Data Source
1] Login to TapClicks and click Data in the far right menu.
2]Click Data Sources.
3] On the Data Sources page, scroll through the list of data sources or use the search box to locate the data source or which you want to change the mappings.
4] When you locate the data source, click it.
Verify Credentials Connected to the Data Source
5] Click the down arrow on the All Connections dropdown menu.
6] From the menu, select the account of the person who is leaving.
7] Make a note of their connections.
8] From the All Connections dropdown menu, select the account of the person taking over.
NOTE: The new person's credentials must be connected to the data source |
9] Verify that the new person has access to the same accounts and campaigns as the person leaving (see step 7).
Update Connection ID
10] Close out the Data Source window.
11] At the bottom of the Data Sources page, click Manage Assignments.
12] Click the down arrow on the Data Source dropdown menu.
13] Scroll thru the Data Source menu until you locate the data source of interest and click it.
14] Check the Expand all assignments checkbox.
15] Click Download.
16] After the file downloads, open it with a spreadsheet program.
17] In the Connection Name column, scroll or search to locate the name of the person taking over the old account.
18] Make a note of their Connection ID (e.g., 47).
19] In the Connection Name column, scroll or search to locate the name of the person who is leaving.
20] In every row where the person who's leaving name appears, replace their Connection ID with the Connection ID obtained in step 18.
21] Save the file.
22] Back on the Manage Assignments page, click the Choose File button.
23] Navigate to locate the file and click Open to select it.
24] Click Upload to upload the file with the updated Connection IDs.
