How can I tell if my Dashboard is using Filtering or Grouping?
Go to the Smart Campaigns page by navigating to Data then Smart Campaigns in your instance. In the "Type" column, each campaign will show whether it’s using Filtering or Grouping.
You can also try creating a new Smart Campaign:
- If you're able to select multiple data sources, you're using Filtering.
- If not, you're using Grouping.
I can't see Smart Campaigns in my dashboard. How can I get access to it?
If you don’t see the Smart Campaigns feature available in your dashboard, please reach out to your Customer Success Manager or email customercare@tapclicks.com to review your options. While this feature is available to TapAnalytics users, access depends on your specific use case and configuration needs.
Can I use Channels in a Filtering Smart Campaign?
Not directly, but you can include multiple data sources in your Smart Campaign setup, which achieves the same effect with more flexibility.
Filtering Smart Campaigns will still filter across all widgets in your dashboards, including those built using Channels.
Can I use Smart Connectors in a Filtering Smart Campaign?
Yes, filtering Smart Campaigns fully support Smart Connectors.
Why do my Smart Connector values show as IDs instead of names?
This is because of the default setting of your Smart Connector. To have more friendly names shown in your Smart Campaign, you’ll update your Display Name Settings in the Smart Connector:
1] On the Data menu, click Smart Connectors.
2] Navigate to the Smart Connector with issues and click it.
3] Under Advanced Setup Options, ensure the Display Name Toggle is on.
4] Use the Display Name Settings section to set the name you want shown.
This will update what appears in the Smart Campaigns page and the Campaigns page.
I’m using automated Filtering Smart Campaigns. Why can’t I manage them in the platform?
If your Smart Campaigns are generated by automated backend processes, any changes made in the platform interface will be overwritten.
To make updates or add new campaigns, ensure your backend automation is updated with the right campaign records, or work with your admin to adjust those processes.
