Before you begin: This guide shows you how to conduct research on SEO competitors. Research includes SEO traffic, organic keywords and organic competitors.
How to Search for the SEO Competitor
To conduct SEO competitor research, you start by entering a URL into a search box.
1] Login to TapClicks and on the left side menu click Raven.
2] Click SEO Research.
3] The SEO Research page appears. Enter the competitor's URL into the search box.
4] From the dropdown menu, select your country.
5] Click Search.
6] The SEO Summary page appears. You can see the URL in the upper left corner.
How to View SEO Competitors' Previous Month's Stats
Viewing SEO competitors' previous months's stats means viewing data for the prior month in a table plus data for the prior 12 months in a graph.
7] Hover your mouse over the SEO Traffic Value graph to see the value of the SEO traffic (in dollars) for a particular month.
8] Click on # of first page organic Keywords in Google across the top of the section and the chart displays number of first page keywords in Google for the last 12 months broken out into the first three positions and the next 7 positions.
9] Hover your mouse over the graph to see those values for a particular month.
10] Click on # of first page organic Keywords in Bing/Yahoo! across the top of the section and the chart displays number of first page keywords in Bing/Yahoo! for the last 12 months broken out into the first three positions and the next 7 positions.

How to View SEO Competitors' Top Organic Keywords
Viewing SEO competitor's top organic keywords means seeing the number and keywords the competitor ranks for including the number of first page keywords, average position and position trend.
12] Scroll down to the Top Organic Keywords in Google section. This list displays the competitor's top organic keywords for specific pages (indicated on the left) in Google.
13] The number under 1st Page Keywords equals the number of organic keywords on the first page for Google.
14] Hover your mouse over the line graphs under Pos Trend and Trend to get specific values for a particular month.
15] To view more organic keywords, click the View More button at the bottom of the Organic Keyword list.
16] To export the list of organic keywords, from the Organic Keywords tab, click Export. The data gets exported in .XLSX format.
17] To view organic keywords for advertisers on other networks, click Bing/Yahoo!.
18] Scroll down to the Top Organic Keywords in Google (Ungrouped) section. This list displays the competitor's top organic keywords on Google (with no regard to which site they support).
19] Hover your mouse over the line graphs under Trend to get specific values for a particular month.
20] To view more organic keywords from this competitor, click the View More button at the bottom of the list.
How to View Top Organic Competitors
Viewing top organic competitors means seeing the competitors with the most keywords in common to the competitor you are researching.
21] Scroll down to the Top Organic Competitors in Google section. This list displays, sorted by number of overlapping organic keywords, the top competitors for the competitor you're researching.
22] Click on any link in the Website column to be taken to the SEO research page for that website.
23] Hover your mouse over the graph to the right to see the SEO traffic value for that competitor.
24] To view more organic competitors in Google, click the View More button at the bottom of the section.
25] To export the list of competitors, from the Competitors tab, click Export. The data gets exported in .XLSX format.
