Before you begin: The Google Analytics 4 (Early Access) data source provides data already organized for your use in TapClicks reporting.
Instructions:
Locate the Google Analytics 4 (Early Access) Data Source
1] Login to TapClicks and on the Data menu, click Data Sources.
2] The menu of data sources appears.
3] To locate the Google Analytics 4 (Early Access) data source, either scroll through the list of data sources or enter the data source into the search box in the upper right (results appear automatically).
Connect to the Google Analytics 4 (Early Access) Data Source
4] On the Google Analytics 4 (Early Access) data source, click Connect.
NOTE: If you are already logged into Google Analytics, the system will authenticate with the credentials you are currently logged in with. If you need to use another account, log out before initiating the connection. |
5] When the Google Sign in form appears, enter your email/phone and click Next.
6] Enter your password and click Next.
7] Click Allow.
8] The list of Google Analytics 4 properties list appears.
9] Search for a Google Analytics 4 property from the list or enter the name in the search box (results appear automatically). If you can't find the property, click the Add Connection button to the far right to create the connection to a property.
10] Click the property.
11] From the Connections dropdown, select a specific connection or choose All Connections.
12] To assign the property to a client, on the right side choose a client from the existing client dropdown or create a new client to assign it to.
13] Edit General Settings, Additional Information and Primary Contact Information as needed and then click Assign Client.
14] To view the status of your connection, click Connection Status in the Data Management menu on the left.
15] After the data source is connected, an initial data fetch will occur. Each data source has a different Lookback period. The Lookback period determines the amount of historical data that is fetched. It is measured in months, weeks, or days. The specific lookback period for each service can be found on the connection's status page. After the initial data retrieval, you're ready to use your Google Analytics 4 data in reports and analysis.
