The SmartConnector Marketplace provides templates that make it easier than ever to create SmartConnectors. Working with our data partners, TapClicks offers templates that enable you to install connectors with minimal setup to access your data.
We are continually adding new templates to the Marketplace, making even more data sources easily accessible through SmartConnector templates.
How to Use a SmartConnector Template
1] Before installing a template, review the setup guide for that specific template.
2] Log in to TapClicks and, on the Data menu, click Data Sources.
3] Click Instant On to collapse the view of Instant On connectors.
4] Click SmartConnectors to collapse the view of SmartConnectors.
5] With the other menu collapse, it's now easier to see the SmartConnector Templates on the bottom here:
6] Scroll through the list of templates to locate the one you want and then click SELECT
7] When the confirmation popup appears, click Continue.
8] If a popup appears that says Almost there!, click the Continue button.
9] A SmartConnector is created for you, but you will still need to authenticate, enter credentials, etc. as required by the partner.
Note: The default fields are pre-set on this screen to provide you with the optimum analytics data for your data source. The Connection Settings section includes the Delivery Type field, which indicates where the SmartConnector will look for the data.
Note: Make sure that you have a hosting location for the delivery type specified under Connection Settings. For example, if the delivery type field is set to FTP, you will still need to ensure that the FTP site has a file on it with headers that match the fields specified under Data Fields.
10] In the Connections Setting section, you may have to authenticate the connection to the data source. You typically do this by either clicking the Authenticate button (where you are redirected to a third-party website to enter your credentials) or by entering your credentials and clicking the Test Connection button.
11] Optionally make changes to any of the settings in the Advanced Setup Options section.
12] If applicable, confirm the information in the Hosted File Settings section is correct.
13] Make any necessary changes in the Data Fields section.
14] Enter your email in the Email textbox to receive confirmation and service alert emails.
15] Toggle the Email Errors and Warning Only switch if you prefer to receive only critical alerts.
16] To optionally change the number of days to look back for the data, enter that number in the Daily Lookback textbox.
Note: By default, every day data from the previous three days is fetched from the source. If this works for you, do nothing. But, if you want to fetch more or less than three days, you can do so. However, if you're unsure, avoid making a change as it can significantly impact performance.
17] To optionally add a delay to your fetching, enter the number of minutes (720 max) to delay each fetch in the Daily Fetch Delay textbox.
18] Click Save Changes at the bottom of the page to finalize your connector setup.
