How are Impression Share metrics in Bing calculated?
TapAnalytics exposes six Impression Type metrics from Bing in the platform. What you see in Bing might differ slightly from what you see in TapAnalytics. The reason for this is because of how that data is processed and stored.
Since we don't have access to the raw data and formula to create the actual IS value for any date range, we store this data on a daily level from the Bing API. This means that when you choose to look at a date range in the TapAnalytics platform, we need to handle that data display in some way.
As such, TapAnalytics applies a weighted average against Impressions for each day in the date range selected. This will give more weight to the IS values where more impressions were served and cancel out any 0 vales that might bring down a true average.

- To find out which account is connected, you can go to "Manage Data Sources" and on the Bing icon click on the green plug icon.
- None of your assigning has been lost, they will not need to be remapped and no historical data loaded to date will be lost.
