Before you begin: This article is written for TapClicks users who are already aware of what push connectors are and what they do. For more information on Push Connectors in general, please refer to Push Connectors Overview and Push Connector - FAQs.
TikTok Ads Push Connector Set-up
1] Log in to TapClicks and navigate to the Data menu, then click Data Sources.
2] The Data Sources page will appear on the right.
3] To locate the TikTok Ads data source, either scroll through the list of data sources or enter “TikTok Ads” into the search box in the upper right.
4] Click the Connect button on the TikTok Ads tile.
5] Enter your username and password, then click Log in.
NOTE: If you are already logged into TikTok Ads, the system will authenticate with the currently logged-in credentials. If you need to use another account, log out before initiating the connection. |
6] When TapClicks requests to access your account, click Allow
7] After you authenticate with TikTok Ads, you will land back in TapClicks. Make sure you are on the Data Sources page.
8] Locate the TikTok Ads data source tile and click Assign.
9] To assign your TikTok Ads data to a TapClicks Client, begin by locating the account on the left side that you want to assign.
10] To assign it to a client, on the right side, choose a client from the existing client dropdown.
11] Edit General Settings, Additional Information and Primary Contact Information for the client record as needed and then click Assign Client.
12] After client assignment, you can push campaigns to TikTok Ads. If you don’t see your account, hit the refresh button at the top of the screen.
Creating a New Order and Campaign
13] On the left navigation bar, click Orders.
14] In the top right of the page, ensure you are using the Business Unit that has TikTok ads product associated with it.
15] Click Create New Order.
16] The new order page will open. Fill out the Order details with an associated TikTok Ads client using the drop down menu and type a name for the order into the textbox at the bottom.
17] When finished filling out the order details, click Create Order.
18] The order overview page will open.
19] Next to the Line Items header, click Add Line Item (blue plus icon).
20] The Line Item creation page will open.
21] Start by choosing the TikTok Ads product from the Select a Product dropdown menu, the page will update.
22] Start filling out your Campaign information by naming, setting the campaign objective, and choosing a special ad category in the Campaign Details section.
23] Next fill out the information in the Ad Group Details section.
24] In the Targeting section, use the dropdown menus to select your targeting information.
25] If applicable, fill out the TikTok Interest category under Interest targeting. You will find what to put in this textbox in the TikTok API.
26] In the Budget and Schedule section, select a start and end date and your budget preference.
27] If applicable, set your Day Parting and Frequency Cap in this section as well. You can add as many of these as you like by clicking Add and Additional Frequency Cap, respectively.
28] When finished entering all your information, click Save Line Item at the bottom of the page.
29] Your campaign will now be pushed to TikTok Ads. To view it in TikTok Ads, first click the Item Number for the Line Item you just created.
30] Scroll down and find the campaign name, copy this.
31] Finally, navigate to the TikTok Ads platform and paste the campaign name into the search box to find your newly created campaign.
