AI Operator Agents are AI-powered tools within TapClicks that respond to plain-language text prompts to perform actions within the platform. Rather than manually building dashboards, widgets, or calculated metrics from scratch, you can describe what you need and the agent will generate it automatically. The following Operator Agents are available:
- Dashboard Creation Agent: Creates a full dashboard based on a plain-language prompt.
- Widget Creation Agent: Generates individual dashboard widgets such as charts, tables, and metric displays based on a plain-language prompt.
- Calculations Agent: Builds custom calculated metrics using plain-language instructions, automatically generating the formula logic based on your description.
Dashboard Creation Agent
What does the Dashboard Creation Agent do?
The Dashboard Creation Agent allows you to create a fully structured dashboard using a plain-language prompt. Rather than manually adding and arranging widgets, you can describe the dashboard you need and the agent will generate it automatically—no manual configuration required.
How to use the Dashboard Creation Agent
1] On the Dashboards page, click AI Dashboard in the upper-right corner of the page.
2] The Create Dashboard using AI modal will open. In the Prompt field, enter a plain-language description of the dashboard you want to create.
3] Optionally, select a template from the Templates dropdown menu or enter a name in the Dashboard Name field. If left blank, the templates will be auto-selected and the dashboard name will be auto-generated from your prompt.
4] Click Create to complete setup.
Widget Creation Agent
What does the Widget Creation Agent do?
The Widget Creation Agent allows you to add individual widgets to a dashboard using a plain-language prompt. You can describe the chart, table, or metric display you need and the agent will generate and place it automatically—no manual widget configuration required.
How to use the Widget Creation Agent
1] Open the dashboard where you want to add a widget and click the Add Widget button (plus icon) in the upper-right corner of the page.
2] The widget picker will open. On the Data Widget tab, click Ask AI.
3] The Ask AI modal will open. In the prompt box, enter a plain-language description of what you want to see and click Next.
4] The agent will suggest a widget type based on your prompt and display a brief explanation of its reasoning. Optionally, select a different widget type using the chart icons. Click Generate Widget to complete setup.
Calculations Agent
What does the Calculations Agent do?
The Calculations Agent allows you to create custom calculated fields using plain-language prompts. This tool automatically generates transformation logic based on your description—no formulas, syntax, or code required.
The AI-generated logic can be used for a wide range of calculation needs, including ROI metrics, data cleanup, naming conventions, and multi-field operations. This helps reduce manual effort, avoid errors, and accelerate time to insight.
How to use the Calculations Agent
1] Log in to TapClicks and, on the Data menu, click Calculations.
2] The Calculations page will open. To access the AI Agent, either create a new calculation by clicking the Add New Calculation button (plus icon) in the upper-right corner of the page.
3] Or click the edit button (pencil icon) on a calculation you want to change.
4] For a new calculation, name it and then select a Data Type, Source, and View from the dropdown menus.
5] On the right side of the page, click the sparkle icon.
6] In the prompt box, enter a plain-language description of the logic you need and click Submit.
7] The Calculations Agent will generate the corresponding calculation logic and populate it into the text editor view of the calculation builder.
| Note: Text Editor Calculations must be enabled in your instance to use the Calculations Agent. If this feature is not currently available, please contact your Customer Success Manager to have it enabled. |
8] Click Verify to ensure the logic. You can make edits manually or with the prompt box if the calculation does not work as expected.
9] Click Save to complete setup.
