Before you begin: This article is written for TapClicks users who are already aware of what push connectors are and what they do. For more information on Push Connectors in general, please refer to Push Connectors Overview and Push Connector - FAQs.
Facebook Ads Push Connector Set-up
1] Login to TapClicks and navigate to the Data menu, then click Data Sources.
2] The Data Sources page will appear on the right.
3] To locate the Facebook Ads data source, either scroll through the list of data sources or enter “Facebook Ads” into the search box in the upper right.
4] Click the Connect button on the Facebook Ads tile.
5] Enter your username and password, then click Next.
NOTE: If you are already logged into Facebook Ads, the system will authenticate with the currently logged-in credentials. If you need to use another account, log out before initiating the connection. |
6] When TapClicks requests to access your account, click Allow
7] After you authenticate with Facebook Ads, you will land back in TapClicks. Make sure you are on the Data Sources page.
8] Locate the Facebook Ads data source tile and click Assign.
9] To assign your Facebook Ads data to a TapClicks Client, begin by locating the account on the left side that you want to assign.
10] To assign it to a client, on the right side, choose a client from the existing client dropdown.
11] Edit General Settings, Additional Information and Primary Contact Information for the client record as needed and then click Assign Client.
12] After client assignment, you can now push campaigns to Facebook Ads. If you don’t see your account, hit the refresh button at the top of the screen.
Creating a New Order and Campaign
13] On the left navigation bar, click Orders.
14] In the top right ensure you are using the Facebook Ads business unit.
15] Click Create New Order.
16] The new order page will open. Fill out the Order details with a client using the dropdown menu and type a name for the order into the textbox at the bottom.
17] When finished filling out the order details, click Create Order.
18] The order overview page will open.
19] Next to the Line Items header, click Add Line Item (blue plus icon).
20] The Line Item creation page will open.
21] Start by choosing the Facebook Ads product from the Select a Product dropdown menu, the page will update.
22] If applicable, select a package type from the Select a Package dropdown menu, the page will update again. If the Select a Package dropdown menu does not appear, move to step 24.
23] Begin setting up your campaign with the Campaign Fields section.
24] In the Campaign Details section, name your campaign in the text box and ensure the rest of the details are correct.
25] If applicable, select the Advantage Campaign Budget checkbox. The page will update, fill out the following fields appropriately for your campaign.
26] In the Ad set name section, fill out the details for the ad sets you will create for this campaign.
27] In the Optimization and delivery section, use the dropdown menu to set your Optimization goal.
28] Fill out your campaign's budget and schedule information in the next section, Budget and schedule.
29] Finally, in the Targeting section, fill out all the of the targeting details for this campaign.
30] You can also add multiple audiences by click Add Overlap.
31] To exclude a specific audience, click Exclude Audience and the page will update. Then, fill out the following fields.
32] When finished entering all your information, click Save Line Item at the bottom of the page.
33] Your campaign will now be push to Facebook Ads. To view it in Facebook Ads, first click the Item Number for the Line Item you just created.
34] Click the Facebook Ads Lineitem External ID.
35] Facebook Ads will now open and you will be able to view the campaign that was just pushed to the platform.
