Overview
Widget annotations let you add contextual notes directly on widgets in dashboards. Use annotations to highlight trends, call out performance changes, or explain key data points. You can annotate any widget type.
How to Annotate a Widget
1] Open the dashboard that contains the widget you want to annotate.
2] In the upper-right corner of the widget, click the More Options (three dots) icon.
3] Select Annotate Widget from the dropdown menu.
4] Enter your annotation in the text field.
5] Optionally, to target the annotation to a specific client group, business unit, or client, click the right-facing arrow to the left of Show for Who? to reveal more options.
6] Choose from the Select a Client Group, Select a Business Unit, or Select a Client dropdown menus.
7] Click ADD. The annotation appears, and a new text field displays if you want to add another annotation.
8] To close the annotation menu, click the X icon in the upper-right corner.

After you close the annotation menu, circles appear on the selected dates in the widget, and a blank page icon appears in the upper-right corner of the widget.
