Before you begin: To access Engagement Widgets, ensure that Predefined Dashboards are enabled in Platform Settings. This setting allows you to use Engagement Widgets within supported social media channels and dashboards.
What Are Engagement Widgets?
Engagement Widgets are specialized visualization tools available exclusively in Social Media Channels and Predefined Dashboards. These widgets combine key metrics from your connected social media platforms to create a unified Engagement Score.
The Engagement Score reflects audience interaction across all connected social accounts. For example, if only Twitter is connected, the widget will display engagement based on Favorites and Retweets. If Facebook is also connected, metrics such as Clicks, Likes, Shares, and Comments will be included as well.
How Are Engagement Widgets Used?
Engagement Widgets are used to track and compare user interaction across multiple social platforms in one view. They help marketers and analysts quickly assess how audiences are responding to posts, campaigns, or content over a defined time period.
When multiple social channels are connected, the widget aggregates engagement metrics from each to display a combined score. This provides a consolidated overview of performance without requiring manual calculation or multiple reports.
How to Create an Engagement Widget
1] On a report or dashboard, create a new widget.
2] Select the Social Services Predefined Channel as your data source.
3] Add the Engagement Widget to display engagement metrics.
Alternatively, you can:
1] Create a new Custom Channel.
2] Configure the Engagement Widget as part of that channel setup.
3] Add the widget to your reports as needed.
Which Metrics Are Included in Engagement Widgets?
Each connected platform adds its own data points to the Engagement score:
