Before you begin: To connect to HubSpot from TapClicks, you will need to use a HubSpot account that has Super Admin privileges. Additionally, HubSpot offers different product tiers and your account will need to be on one of the tiers that has access to the HubSpot APIs that TapClicks leverages. "Marketing Hub" or "CMS Hub" products from HubSpot at any product tier have access to the APIs that TapClicks uses for data flow.
Instructions:
Locate the HubSpot Data Source
1] Login to TapClicks and on the Data menu, click Data Sources.
2] The menu of data sources appears.
3] To locate the HubSpot data source, either scroll through the list of data sources or enter the data source into the search box in the upper right (results appear automatically).
Connect to the HubSpot Data Source
4] When you locate the HubSpot data source, click Connect.
5] The HubSpot login page appears.
NOTE: If you are already logged into HubSpot, the system will authenticate with the credentials you are currently logged in with. If you need to use another account, log out before initiating the connection. |
6] Enter your credentials and hit Log in to authorize the data source.
7] When TapClicks requests to access your account click Allow.
8] After you authenticate with HubSpot, you will land back in TapClicks. Make sure you are on the Data Sources page.
9] Locate the HubSpot data source and click Assign to Clients.
10] To assign your HubSpot data to a TapClicks Client, on the left side click on the data you want.
11] To assign it to a client, on the right side choose a client from the existing client dropdown or create a new client to assign it to.
12] Edit General Settings, Additional Information and Primary Contact Information as needed and then click Assign Client.
13] To view the status of your connection, click Connection Status in the Data Management menu on the left.
14] After the data source is connected, an initial data fetch will occur. Each data source has a different Lookback period. The Lookback period determines the amount of historical data that is fetched. It is measured in months, weeks, or days. The specific lookback period for each service can be found on the connection's status page. After the initial data retrieval, you're ready to use your HubSpot data in reports and analysis.
