Before you begin: This article is for users who want to create presentations using SmartSlides™ in TapClicks. SmartSlides™ allows you to generate AI-powered, client-ready slide decks directly from your dashboards and data views. What is SmartSlides™?
SmartSlides™ is an AI-powered reporting feature that generates slide decks from your TapClicks data. Unlike Freehand Reports or Dashboards, which require manual setup, SmartSlides™ automates the creation of presentations and provides light editing options directly within the app.
How to Create a SmartSlides™ Presentation
1] Log in to TapClicks and, on the Reports menu, click SmartSlides™.
2] In the upper-right corner, click the Add SmartSlides™ (plus) icon.
3] The SmartSlides™ creator appears. In the Title field, enter a name for your presentation.
4] From the Template dropdown menu, select a custom template, the Performance Report template, or Blank Report.
| Note: Custom templates and the Performance Report template come with a pre-built AI prompt that cannot be edited, though it is visible in the Configuration section. The Performance Report template requires you to select data sources manually. Blank Report includes no preconfigured settings, you select the data sources and write the AI prompt yourself. 5] Under Data Hierarchy, select All, Client, Client Group, Business Unit, or Smart Campaign to set the scope of the presentation. If you select any option other than All, a dropdown menu appears below so you can choose the specific client, client group, business unit, or Smart Campaign to assign the presentation to.
6] Click the Date Range field and use the calendar to select a date range for the presentation.
7] From the Theme dropdown menu, choose a theme for your presentation.
8] Use the Number of Slides slider, or enter a value in the field, to set how many slides the presentation should include.
9] Under Generation Mode, select Auto or Slide By Slide. Auto generates the full presentation automatically, while Slide By Slide lets you review and edit each slide before it is generated. 10] Click Configuration to expand the section.
If you selected a custom template
11] The data sources and AI prompt configured in the template are applied automatically and appear in the Configuration section for reference.
12] In the Additional Context field, enter any extra guidance you want the AI to consider when generating the presentation.
If you selected Performance Report
11] In the Configuration section, the AI prompt configured in the Performance Report template appears in the Configuration section for reference.
12] under Source of Data, select Data Category or Dashboard.
13] If you selected Data Category, from the Data Sources dropdown menu, select the marketing source you want to pull data from. Then, in the Dataview, Metrics, and Dimensions fields, choose the dataview, metrics, and dimensions to include in the presentation.
14] If you selected Dashboard, from the Dashboard dropdown menu, select the dashboard you want to connect to the presentation. Then, in the Sections and Widgets fields, select the dashboard sections and widgets you want SmartSlides™ to use.
15] In the Additional Context field, enter any extra guidance you want the AI to consider when generating the presentation.
If you selected Blank Report
11] In the Configuration section, in the Prompt field, enter the AI guidance for the presentation.
12] Under Source of Data, select Data Category or Dashboard.
13] If you selected Data Category, from the Data Sources dropdown menu, select the marketing source you want to pull data from. Then, in the Dataview, Metrics, and Dimensions fields, choose the dataview, metrics, and dimensions to include in the presentation.
14] If you selected Dashboard, from the Dashboard dropdown menu, select the dashboard you want to connect to the presentation. Then, in the Sections and Widgets fields, select the dashboard sections and widgets you want SmartSlides™ to use.
Create Presentation
15] When finished, click Create SmartSlides™ at the bottom of the page.
