Before you begin: This article is for users who want to create presentations using SmartSlides™ in TapClicks. SmartSlides™ allows you to generate AI-powered, client-ready slide decks directly from your dashboards and data views. For more information on SmartSlides™, please refer to FAQs: SmartSlides™ or How to Create a SmartSlides Template.
What is SmartSlides™?
SmartSlides™ is an AI-powered reporting feature that generates slide decks from users' TapClicks data. Unlike Freehand Reports or Dashboards, which require manual setup, SmartSlides™ automates the creation of presentations and provides light editing options directly within the app.
How to Create a SmartSlides™ Presentation
1] Log in to TapClicks and, on the Reports menu, click SmartSlides™.
2] In the upper-right corner, click the Add SmartSlides (plus) icon.
3] The SmartSlides™ creator will appear. Enter a title for your new presentation in the Title text box.
4] From the template dropdown, select either a custom or the default template.
| Note: The default template lets users choose their own data, date range, client, and theme, while only relying on the AI prompt to guide how the presentation is generated. Custom templates include all of these settings preconfigured. In this article, we will be working with the default template. For more details on custom templates, see How to Create a SmartSlides Template. |
5] From the Client dropdown, select the client to assign the presentation to.
6] Click the Date Range field and use the calendar to select a date range for the SmartSlides™ presentation.
7] In the SmartSlides Configuration section, under Source of Data, select Data Category or Dashboard.

9] In the Dataview field, select the dataview associated with the selected data source.
10] In the Metrics field, select the metrics to include in the presentation.
11] In the Dimensions field, select the dimensions to include.
