Before you begin: There are several ways to work with the Line Items in your Orders. This document explains how to find, view, search, and manage comments in Line Items.
How to Find and View Line Items
You can find Line Items in your Orders using two methods. You can either use the Open Orders page or the Detailed Orders page.
Via Open Orders
1] Log in to TapClicks and, on the Orders menu, click Orders.
2] On the left navigation menu, under Orders, click Open Order.
3] Click the number link in the Order column containing the Line Items you want to view.
4] Scroll to the bottom of the page to view the Line Items associated with the Order.
5] To view the details of a Line Item, click the number link in the Item Number column.
6] To edit a Line Item, click the pencil icon to the far right of the Line Item row.
Via Detailed Orders
7] On the left navigation menu, under Orders, click Detailed Orders.
8] Click the Arrow next to the Order Number.
9] The section below will expand to show the Line Items for that Order.
10] Click the number link in the Line item Id column to view or edit the Line Item details.
How to Search Orders for Line Items
You may want to search through all your Orders to see which ones contain specific Line Items. Here you can use both the Open Orders page and the Detailed Orders page to search.
11] Navigate to either the Open Orders page or the Detailed Orders page.
12] Click the search bar labeled Find orders at the top of the page.
13] Enter the name of the desired Line Item in the search box.
14] Select product from the drop-down menu.
15] Click the search icon (magnifying glass). The page will display the Orders containing the specified Line Item.
How to Work With Comments in Line Items
You can always add comments to Line Items by opening the Line Item details page, scrolling to the bottom, and entering comments in the comment box.
What to know Line Item comments
- Saved comments are associated with the Line Item and are visible to anyone with access to that Line Item.
- Comments on Tasks associated with a Line Item are also saved within the Line Item, becoming part of the thread.
- Comments are REQUIRED for any edit of Line Items or rejecting a task. The system will prompt users to add a comment or indicate that a comment is required before saving changes.
- Comments can be added in three places.
- The comment box is at the bottom of any Line Item form.
- The comment box is at the top right of the Line Item Details pages.
