Before you begin: After creating an Order in TapClicks, you can divide it into Line Items, which represent the unique products your company offers. Each Line Item can be further segmented into smaller units called Flights, which are typically divided by time or milestones.
How to Add a Line Item to an Order
Add Line Items when an Order includes two or more of your company's products. This document will show you how to do that.
1] Log in to TapClicks and, on the Orders menu, click Orders.
2] In the Orders UI, click Open Orders in the left navigation menu.
3] Locate the desired Order in the Open Orders list and click the number in the Order column. The Order page will appear.
4] Scroll to the bottom of the page and click the plus icon (+) next to Line Items.
5] The Add Line Item screen will appear. Select a product from the Select a Product dropdown menu.
6] The detail page for the selected product will appear and its layout will vary depending on the product.
7] Complete all required fields (marked with an asterisk), which typically include Workflow and Campaign details for the Line Item.
8] Optionally, complete any additional fields.
9] Optionally, add comments in the Comments field at the bottom of the page. Comments are visible to anyone with access to the Line Item.
NOTE: Comments are mandatory when editing a Line Item, but not when you first create it. |
10] When you have entered all the Line Item details, click Save Line Item at the bottom of the page.
11] Repeat steps 2 - 8 for additional Line Items.
How to Add a Flight to a Line Item
Add Flights to a Line Item to divide it into separate deliverables. Deliverables are usually defined by time or milestones.
NOTE: Adding Flights to a Line Item is not available for free trial accounts. |
12] Scroll to the bottom of the Order Page. In the Line Items section, click the number in the Item Number column for the Line Item to which you want to add a Flight.
13] The Line Item details page will appear. If the option to add Flights is available, a Flights tab will be visible at the top of the page. Click the Flights tab.
14] The Flights page will appear. Click the plus icon (+) next to Flights.
15] The Flight Form Fields will appear below.
NOTE: Some Flight fields will be pre-filled and can only be modified on the Line Item page. |
16] Complete all required fields, marked with an asterisk.
17] Optionally, complete any additional fields.
18] Once you have entered all Flight details, click Save Flight.
19] Repeat steps 12 - 16 for each additional Flight that you wish to add to the Line Item.
20] Click the Line Item tab to return to Line Items.
