What is the difference between LinkedIn Profile, LinkedIn Company Page and LinkedIn Ads?
The LinkedIn Profile connector represents data from a single user. Think of this as your personal LinkedIn Profile. It brings in data about your professional profile and your network connections.
The LinkedIn Company Page connector represents a company, like the one you might currently work for. If you have access to that Company’s Profile on LinkedIn, you can bring in that data to your dashboard.
The LinkedIn Ads connector represents the ads that you serve on the LinkedIn Network and the related performance indicators driven associated with those ads.
Why do I see a '-' for the View Views metric from the LinkedIn Company Page?
To be able to pull video stats, the user that has access to the Company Page must be a Super Admin of the Page.
Where are the demographic data views for LinkedIn Ads?
We have these as part of the On Demand Connector because of limitations on how the data should be stored for these data sets. Examples of these include member company size, member industry, and member company name.
To access, leverage the On Demand Connector for LinkedIn Ads in TapAnalytics.
Why don't my sponsored ads from LinkedIn Ads show previews?
This is because sponsored ad previews aren’t currently available from the LinkedIn API.
What if I need data from LinkedIn that TapClicks doesn’t quite support?
There are a few ways to approach this situation.
1] Create a Smart Connector to bring data into your dashboard.
- This will allow you to get to your data fast.
- This path could be used in the long term.
- Or you can use this path while waiting for an enhancement to the LinkedIn connector.
2] Review if the data you need can be accessed through On Demand Widgets.
- Similar to the Smart Connector option above, this will allow you to get to your data fast.
- This path has some limitations on which TapClicks features can be applied to the data set. For example, you cannot currently use Channels with on-demand data sets.
3] Submit a request to the product team to evaluate bringing this data into the Instant On connector.
- Make sure to include report extract examples so that we can review exactly the dimensions and metrics you’re looking for in your dashboard.
- If you need help with this process, feel free to reach out to your Customer Success Manager or customercare@tapclicks.com.
