Before you begin: The Goals feature in TapClicks allows you to track specific metrics as goals for your campaigns. You can see how a campaign’s KPIs, such as impressions, are tracking based on thresholds that you define. You can find more information on how Goals work here. This article focuses on how to create goals from your Orders & Workflow forms.
Instructions:
Configure the Goals Field
1] On the left side menu click Administration.
2] In the Administration submenu, click either Products, to find a product form, or click Order, Task & Client Forms, to find a task form.
3] From the list that appears, find the product or task you want to add your fields to and click View.
NOTE: Fields can be added to existing field groups or you can add a new field group. |
4] To add a new field group. click Add New.
5] Open the group by clicking the right-facing arrow.
6] Then click the plus button.
7] The field configuration window appears. Fill out the form. Be sure to include field name, display name, input type and data type.
8] The most important part of the configuration is to scroll down to the Goal Association menu and choose a goal association for the field.
NOTE: Configured fields can be spread across the product form and the task forms, as long as they precede goal creation (see below). |
9] When you have the field configured the way you want, click Ok at the bottom of the form.
Configure the Goals Task
NOTE: The task does not need to be a unique "goal" task. Any configured task can be used for a goal. |
10] In the Administration submenu, click Tasks.
11] In the upper left of the Tasks page, click the Add New button.
12] Fill in the Task Details form. Be sure to select the Create Goal checkbox.
13] When you have the details filled in the way you want, click Save at the bottom of the page.
Insert the Goal Task Into Workflow
14] Add the new task into the appropriate Routing Rule Set in the workflow. If you’re not trained on workflow configuration, reach out to your Customer Success Manager to inquire about your workflow configuration options. If you are trained on workflow configuration, add the task into the workflow as you would any other task. Take note that the completion of the task is what triggers the goal creation.
Monitor the Goal
When the goal task is completed, the information from the goal fields will be pushed automatically and create a new goal in the Goals page (under Reports). At that point, a link to the newly created goal will display on the Line Item (or Flight) Details page.
After the campaign begins serving and delivering data, the goal needs to be mapped to the campaign on the Goals page. We recommend adding a scheduled task to insert the goal into the workflow after the campaign goes live, so this step is not forgotten.
You can now use the Goals page to monitor the pacing of the campaign. You can also add a Goals widget to a dashboard where you can see all the goals in summary views.
