What is Bulk Import and Export?
Many features in the Administration section have tools for you to upload or export multiple records simultaneously. You can save time and simplify editing records in bulk. This is commonly referred to as Bulk Import and Export.
Where can I Use the Bulk Import and Export Feature?
In TapClicks, the Exportand Importicons appear on various screens such as Clients, Users, Business Units, Dashboards, and others. These buttons allow you to download or upload a CSV to create or alter records in bulk. If you need to update several records at once, be sure to look for the Export and Import icons on the screen to simplify updates.
How to Use Bulk Export
1] Click the Export Icon in the top right corner of the page.
2] The file will automatically download to the Downloads folder on your computer.
3] The exported list will be saved as a Microsoft Excel Comma Separated Values (CSV) file.
How to Use Bulk Import
1] Click the Import Icon in the top right corner of the page.
2] The Import CSV File screen will appear.
3] Format your file appropriately. A sample file is available; simply click Download CSV Guide.
4] The sample file will automatically save to the Downloads folder on your computer.
5] The file will be saved with a name like BusinessUnit-Upload-Sample. The specific name depends on the area of the platform where the feature is being used.
6] Navigate to the downloads folder and open the file. It will include headers and instructions on entering your data.
7] Enter your data into the file and save it on your computer.
8] Go back to Import CSV File screen in TapClicks.
9] Click Choose File.
10] Select file and click Open.
11] Click Upload.
12] The file will upload and become visible on the main screen.
