FAQs
Can I pause an Active Data Connection?
Yes, you can pause an active Data Connection by pressing the Pause Data Flow button for the connection on the Data Load Status page.
Why Would I Pause a Data Connection?
Pausing a data connection is useful in scenarios where you no longer require fresh data from that source but still need access to the historical data it has provided. Examples include discontinuing services with a data provider while retaining past data for analysis or losing access to a data source due to a client relationship ending. The pause functionality in TapClicks allows for the suspension of data flow from such connections, preventing unnecessary alerts and maintaining dashboard stability without losing historical data access.
Can I receive notifications on my Data Load Status?
Yes, you can receive notifications on your Data Load Status by setting up custom notification rules in the Notifications tab. Here, you can specify which data sources and connections to include or exclude, and enter email addresses that should receive these notifications. You can also set a daily maximum for email notifications to manage the frequency of alerts. These rules are customizable and can be edited, copied, or deleted according to your preferences. For information about the Data Load Status Notifications, refer to the Understanding the Data Load Status Dashboard article.
