Added Guide button to Data Load Status
We have exposed the "Guide Me" button on the right nav of the Data Load Status page. This helps users in troubleshooting.
Unassign records directly on Needs Attention/Assignment Status screen
While on the Needs Attention/Assignment Status screen (on the Data Load Status page), users now have the ability to unassign any records that are not successful directly on this screen. Users no longer have to leave the page they're working on if they need to take action on these problematic assignments.
Simpli.fi - change historical lookback
We have updated the historical fetch period for Simpli.fi from one year to six months with this release. After evaluating our client’s needs, we determined that six months for freshly assigned clients will give our customers ample time to connect Simpli.fi to their instance and not have major impacts to regular fetch times. The previous one year historical period lead to longer than expected regular fetch times for customers. This change will allow for a middle ground between adequate historical data and faster fetch times.
If you already have a custom historical fetch period defined for your instance, this update will not impact your instance. If you have a circumstance that requires a data fetch longer than six months for a specific reason, please reach out to your customer success manager to discuss available solutions.
TapOrders
Google Ads - support for multiple extensions
Previously TapOrders had support for sitelink extensions, but users were only able to add one extension. With this enhancement, users can now add multiple extensions (up to 10).
Users generally use multiple extensions of the same type for effective marketing communications. Users can now create and deploy Google Ads campaigns with multiple extension right from the TapOrders system.
Auto-create monthly flights
With this release, users can now auto-create flights within TapOrders. With one click, users can create the monthly or weekly flight breakdown and distribute the total impressions, budget or other attribute across all of those monthly/weekly flights evenly.
There are a few conditions that must be met to use this new capability:
- The product must be configured to enable flights (the “Flights” tab would not be enabled if this were not the case) and have a weekly/monthly timeframe and start day configured.
- The flight form must have a start_date and end_date field configured, and the line item must have its start_date and end_date filled.
- There must not already be open auto-created flights (if there are, the “Regenerate Flights” button would be shown instead).
NOTE: Monthly flights are limited to a maximum of 25 and weekly flights are limited to 105.
Smart Connectors
"Last modified" is default sort field
We have set “Last Modified” as the default sort by field. Users no longer need to explicitly select “Last Modified” during Smart Connector configuration.
Enable geo support for all users
Smart Connectors now support GEO data, which means users can now configure the visualize data on a Geo widget.
Google Sheets
Added image handling
Users can now insert creative previews to accompany their reporting in Google Sheets.
Added Forgot Username/Password link
We have added a username/password recovery to the sidebar. Users can now retrieve/reset their username and password via the sidebar.
TapAnalytics
Renamed and Moved "Try Merge"
As part of a series of UX fixes, we have renamed and moved "Try Merge".
Reports
Grids in Report Studio can now overflow to additional slides
Grids in Report Studio have never had the ability to overflow onto additional slides/pages. This creates a scalability issue for clients where they are using Report Studio reports as templates and the report may have customers with some variability in the number of rows that need to be shown in a grid.
With this release, we are adding the ability to overflow the grids onto the next set of pages (as specified on the widget). Users now have three new options for Report Studio widgets:
- Overflow the grid onto a new page
- Define the number of rows to display on a page
- Define the number of pages to display
These options control the number of pages and the number of rows on each page, to better tailor the report for the variability of the data. The report will overflow only the number of pages necessary to show the data. If the data exceed the number of rows times the number of pages, then the data will be truncated.
New badges available
These badges allow users to request access to new features from within the platform and vote on feature enhancements that interest them. These votes and comments help the TapClicks product team build new features that better meet our customer needs.
New feature controls page breaks after media widgets on exports
Media widgets are often used as more visually appealing header to grids. However, because the media widget is a standalone widget, it does not necessarily page break properly when the report is exported via a dashboard. This causes the grid to move to the next page, even though there is space on the report.
With this release, we have introduced a setting “Use as Header” to the media widget to enable users to indicate that a particular media widget is considered a header. This will make the media widget display on the same page as the grid widget. There are still some situations, specifically when the grid widget exceeds the page size, where there will be a page break after the widget. Those cases will be handled as a separate feature in an upcoming release.
Aligned filtering on Report Studio with dashboard
Report Studio now has support for the same filtering options as the TapClicks dashboards. This includes the ability to make a filter selectable in the Report Studio and also to expand the widget filtering options to include data source and widget specific filters.
Report Studio also has the concept of global filters that works differently than widget filters. To accommodate that, we have a switch in the Report Studio options to change between Global Filters and Widget Filters.
Modify login page text
When the new UI was designed and initially implemented, the login page was hard coded with the phrase “Let the visualization begin”. This may not align with how a customer represents their business. With this release we are adding a feature that enables TapClicks SuperAdmins to modify this text and tailor it to match their business's messaging and branding.
Platform Management
Inherit branding from another business unit
Users can now inherit branding (i.e., white-label) from another business unit This feature enables users to inherit branding from one business unit to another, directly from the Business Unit management screen.
