What are Pre-Process Functions?
Pre-process functions allow users to programmatically refine data before it is ingested by the TapClicks SmartConnector™. These functions enable users to customize data and ensure it meets specific criteria or formatting requirements before entering the platform. By automating data cleaning, transformation, and enrichment processes, Pre-Process Functions enhance the overall quality and usability of user data.
How to Use Pre-Process Functions
1] Log in to TapClicks and, on the Data menu, click SmartConnectors.
2] To use pre-process functions on an existing SmartConnector™, scroll or use the search box to find it and click the edit icon. Otherwise, click the Add SmartConnector (plus sign) icon in the top right of the screen.
3] To use a pre process function on this SmartConnector™, scroll down to Advanced Setup Options and switch the toggle for Pre-Process Function on.
4] The SmartConnector™ setup page will update. Scroll down to the Pre-Process Functions Settings section.
5] Here you will be able to configure the Pre-Process Function for this SmartConnector™.
6] Choose one of the predefined functions from the dropdown menu.
7] Or, to use your own function, click Use Custom Function.
8] The section will update, enter the URL for your custom function in the textbox and click Validate.
9] You can add more Pre-Process Functions by clicking Add New Function.
10] When you have set-up all of your Pre-Process Function, click Save at the bottom of the page.
