What is the New Report Studio Experience?
The New Report Studio Experience is a redesigned reporting experience in TapClicks that improves usability, performance, and customization. It introduces a cleaner, more modern interface with simplified editing and configuration workflows, making it faster and easier to build and manage reports while keeping the core functionality familiar.
What are the key improvements in the New Report Studio Experience?
The new experience delivers faster performance and improved responsiveness, a cleaner and more modern interface, simplified editing and configuration workflows, and enhanced layout and styling controls. Large reports are also handled more efficiently, and export functionality has been improved for greater stability and performance.
Will my existing reports be affected?
No. All existing reports will continue to work as expected in both the Classic and New Report Studio Experience. The New Report Studio Experience is an additional option that users can choose when creating or editing reports.
Are all features available in the New Report Studio Experience?
Most core features are available. Some enhancements and parity items are still being finalized and will continue to roll out. Additionally, Classic Report Studio may not support upcoming new features, such as the Sankey chart.
Do I have to switch to the New Report Studio Experience immediately?
No. TapClicks provides a toggle that allows users to move between the New and Classic experiences at their own pace. You can explore the New Report Studio Experience and gradually transition your workflows as you become comfortable with the new experience.
How do I access and switch between the New and Classic Report Studio?
You can access the New Report Studio Experience by clicking the "Try New UI" button in the top-right corner of Report Studio. To return to the Classic experience, select the "Switch back to Classic Report Studio Experience" option at any time.
Will the Classic Report Studio always be available?
Not permanently. The New Report Studio Experience will become the default experience in an upcoming release. TapClicks will communicate timelines in advance to ensure a smooth transition, and the Classic experience will remain accessible during the transition period.
Will my changes in the New Report Studio Experience reflect in Classic?
Yes. Changes made in either experience are reflected across both, as they operate on the same underlying report.
Has export functionality changed?
Export functionality remains available in the New Report Studio Experience, with improvements to stability and performance, especially for larger reports.

What is the New Dashboard Experience?
The New Dashboard Experience is a redesigned workflow for building and editing widgets in TapClicks dashboards. It introduces a cleaner interface with simplified steps, making it faster and easier for users to create, style, and manage data visualizations.
What new features and improvements are included in the New Dashboard Experience?
The new experience introduces a streamlined side panel with clearer plot type previews, easier custom metric creation, and more intuitive styling options. Users also gain faster performance, updated plot types, simplified styling, and drag-and-drop widget placement and resizing for easier dashboard customization.
Will existing widgets be affected by the New Dashboard Experience?
No. Existing widgets and dashboards remain fully supported and unchanged. The New Dashboard Experience is an additional option that users can choose when creating or editing widgets.
Is drag-and-drop widget placement part of the New Dashboard Experience?
Yes. Drag-and-drop widget placement and resizing is built directly into the new experience. Instead of navigating menus to move or resize widgets, users can simply click and drag within the dashboard canvas for a faster, more natural editing experience.
What’s different about the Styles tab in the New Dashboard Experience?
The Styles tab has been reorganized into clear sections such as Widget Style, Chart Style, and Interactions. Defaults are optimized for common use cases, and tooltips explain what each option does, helping users quickly make adjustments without trial and error.
Am I required to start using the New Dashboard Experience immediately?
No. TapClicks provides a toggle switch that allows users to move between the New and Classic Experiences at their own pace. This makes it easy to try the new workflow while continuing to use the classic system if preferred.
How do I access and switch between the New and Classic Dashboard Experiences?
Users can access the New Dashboard Experience from the “Go to New Experience” banner at the top of any dashboard. The same banner also provides an option to return to the Classic Experience, making it simple to switch back and forth at any time.
Will the Classic Dashboard Experience always be available?
Not permanently. The Classic Experience is still supported for users who prefer it, but TapClicks is focused on improving and expanding the New Dashboard Experience. Over time, the New Dashboard Experience will become the default workflow.
I don’t see the “toggle” switch, why isn’t it available for me?
