Where do I see Facebook’s Conversions data in TapClicks Direct?
You’ve probably noticed that Facebook doesn't show the aggregated conversions data when there are multiple attribution settings in Facebook’s Business Manager or Ad Manager. However, you’ll see the aggregated data when the attribution setting is the same across the ad campaigns or ad sets.
To overcome this in TapClicks Direct, we have introduced a new checkbox: ‘Disable Unified Attribution Setting’ in the account linking interface. You'll also see this in the Parameters section in Reports.
What is Facebook’s unified attribution setting?
Unified Attribution of Conversions data is default in TapClicks Direct. When ‘Disable Unified Setting’ is set to false/disabled, Facebook may not allow you to access aggregated data of conversions having multiple attribution settings across campaigns and ad sets. This means Facebook allows you to access the conversions data that includes Apple iOS 14.5 users.
You will not see the totals of conversions for all the campaigns or ad sets in your widgets. The missing data is the same as the missing data within Facebook Business Manager's interface when looking at all ad campaigns or ad sets (Facebook Business Manager shows a "-" instead of the sum total).
When ‘Disable Unified Attribution’ is set to true, you are excluding Apple iOS14.5 users in your reporting.
Account Level Attribution:
When ‘Disable Unified Attribution’ is set to true, Account level Attribution is enabled.
This pulls Facebook Ads conversion data based on the exact attribution windows that you've configured for each ad campaign and ad set. The data is available for each ad campaign or ad set, and for aggregates shown in stat widgets and charts.
Why is data different when I set ‘Use Unified Attribution Setting’ to False in the account linking interface?
In many cases, Facebook will report fewer conversions than actually occurred when ‘Use Unified Attribution Setting’ is set to False because Apple iOS14.5 users can choose to not be included in the data. So when using this setting, be aware that the data Facebook is providing may be incomplete.
When ‘Use Unified Attribution Setting’ is set to True, you are including Apple iOS14.5 users in your reporting.
How do I see the data in the summary widget/charts/total row?
To see the data in an overview or summary widget, unselect or disable ‘Use Unified Attribution Setting’ in the Account Linking Interface.
What is the default Attribution Setting?
Unified Attribution is our default. By default, you will see the data including iOS 14.5 users.
