DISCLAIMER: It is possible for features documented in these Release Notes to have their release delayed. This happens in situations where we encounter unexpected software behavior prior to release. In such circumstances, a delayed release will be added to a future release.
Smart Connectors
Load sample data from the source when possible
Users connecting to a hosted file delivery type can now load sample data directly from the source. Users will no longer be required to upload a sample file manually for hosted delivery types (e.g., Google Drive, FTP). TapClicks will automatically fetch a sample from the folder location provided. Users will still be able to manually upload a sample file if they would like.
Public release of Margin/Mark-up
Smart Connectors now support Margin/Markups. This means users can now add margins to currency fields of Smart Connectors.
Segmented delivery types into sub-headers
Delivery types dropdown is now segmented into categories which are searchable. This makes it easier for users to find and discover the delivery types in the Smart Connector configuration page.

Amazon Sellers - changed date key to purchase date
With this change, the Orders data view data is now stored against the Purchase Date field, instead of the previous approach in which it was stored against the Last Modified Date field. This means that instead of Order Count, Order Amount, and other KPIs being stored against the Last Modified Date, that data will instead appear against the Purchase Date on the order.
Here is an example:
- Assume you have an order that was placed on Feb 27 2022 and is in "Pending Status" for $100.00.
- That order moves to "Shipped" status on Mar 3, 2022.
- Previously, TapClicks would show the order and $100 against the "Last Updated Date" (Mar 3, 2022).
- Now, TapClicks shows the order and $100 amount against the "Purchase Date" (Feb 27, 2022).
Your orders and KPIs will be associated to "Purchase Date" instead of "Last Modified Date". The impact includes the following:
- If you have widgets that report data on a month-over-month basis, and certain order data shift from one month to the prior month, as in the example above, you may see a minor shift in your KPIs on those widgets.
- If you have widgets on your dashboards that show KPI data by the "Time Grouping = By day" dimension, after this change, your KPIs will shift to reflect the "Purchase Date" day.
- If you have grid widgets that show only the "Time Grouping = By day" dimension and you need to surface the "Last Updated Date", be sure to update your widgets to expose the dedicated "Last Updated Date" field.
LocaliQ - added margin/markup feature
LocaliQ is now available in margin/markup feature using the field “Total Spend” as the base value for the calculation. Customers that want to be able to apply a margin or markup value to their LocaliQ data source can now do so. Please note that there are other currency related fields available for this feed, but margin and markup only applies to the “Total Spend” base value.
OneView - added data view for placements
There is a new data view available for OneView that will allow for additional reporting options against creative placement data. This data view is by request only, so if you're interested in accessing this new data set, please contact your Customer Success Manager or Customer Care for more information.
Skai (previously Kenshoo) - upgraded API
We have updated to version V3 of the API. By being on the newest version of the API, we made it easier to connect to the Skai data source. Historically, the reports needed to be created within the Skai user interface, then a report ID needed to be added to the connection screen in TapClicks to pull your data. On the new version, TapClicks can take care of that report generation step on your behalf, streamlining your data access.
Reports
Change order of buttons for applying filters
We have reversed the order of the Apply and Reset buttons when applying client, client group and business unit filters in the dashboards. This is a very slight change which improves usability of the dashboards.
Goals now importable
Goals can now be imported via a csv file. Clicking on the Import icon in the goals module opens a dialog box where the user can download a sample csv file. That csv is used to import the goals.
TapOrders
Nylas calendar reminder with task details
We have released a new capability, a calendar reminder, on TapOrders tasks. This reminder lets users place a calendar reminder on their Gmail, or other calendar program, directly from the task in TapOrders. This will help users remember to take action on a task and to verify when they have. When placing a reminder, the following information will be displayed on the calendar entry:
- Item id and link
- Advertiser name
- Task due date
- Task description
For more information on enabling this feature on TapOrders/Workflow, please contact your CSM.
Snapshot task form to comment
We have added the ability to have task form information also be displayed as a snapshot in comments when it is saved. This now happens automatically for any task configured to snapshot the values in comments. This allows that data to be more easily identified as new information.
Added field option to Google Ad Manager
Google Ad Manager users now have the option to traffic a line item on vCPM event goal. When users traffic a standard line item, they can specify that its delivery goal and rate be based on viewable impressions as measured by Active View technology. Users can also set a limit on the total number of impressions served in order to meet that goal.
Google Ad Manager API upgraded
We have upgraded the Google Ad Manager push connector on TapOrders Enterprise to v202011.
Added ability to default date field to relative dates
We have added an enhancement to TapOrders date fields. They can now be configured to default to relative dates such as today, tomorrow, etc. This simplifies the data entry for a new campaign. This feature can also be modified by a number of days to offset. For instance, Today +3 will default to three days from today. If Business Days is selected, then it will skip weekends.
Google Sheets
Added relative dates to date range selector
We have added “Tomorrow” and “Year-To-Date” relative date ranges to the date range selector. Users can now report Year-To-Date. Additionally, users who need to preview tomorrow's data (e.g., budgets.) now have a relative data range that can be used with the auto-refresh feature.
