Instant On Connectors
Amazon Sellers - upgraded API [urgent change required]
We have upgraded the Amazon Sellers API to the Selling Partner API (SP-API). With that change, the Authentication Scopes have changed. In order to maintain data flow, you will need to re-authenticate your connection on July 22, 2022. Failure to re-authenticate will prevent new data flowing from Amazon Sellers to your dashboard starting on July 22, 2022.
For steps on how to do this, go here.
Microsoft Ads - added fields
We added the following new fields to Microsoft Ads Campaigns data view:
- Budget Name
- Budget Status
- Budget Association Status
This will offer additional reporting options for users when it comes to telling their data story.
Google Ads - added data view
We have added a new data view from Google Ads called City Performance that provides data by the city (i.e., user location) field from Google Ads. Standard performance metrics are available on this new data view as well.
This addition is good for users who may be struggling with the TapClicks data views that were available before the Google Ads API migration. Depending on how a team conveys KPIs to stakeholders, this new data view may offer more reporting options.
NOTE: If you’re still not seeing the data from Google Ads in a format that meets your needs, feel free to submit a Product Feedback Portal request through your dashboard. Include the specific Google Ads Reporting columns and rows that you use in that platform directly.
Google Ads - added data view
We have exposed a new data view to the Google Ads feed called Income Range that will present performance data by household income. Users who need to report on this information in their dashboards now have the ability to do so.
NOTE: This data view is currently by request only. To enable it, please reach out to your customer success manager.
Google Ads - added fields
We have exposed the fields Campaign Start Date and Campaign End Date from Google Ads to the Ad Group and Ads data views This will help users looking to report on campaign start and campaign end from these data views.
Google Ads - renamed fields
We have updated the following Google Ads fields names to match the Google Ads UI:
- Advertiser Channel changed to Campaign Type
- Advertiser Sub Channel changed to Campaign Subtype
These names were previously consistent with the API labels, but not the UI labels. Users can now be confident that these fields in TapAnalytics are the same as the fields in the Google UI.
Google Ads - exposed label fields
We have exposed the following Google Ads label fields across a number of data views:
- Ad Group Labels
- Ad Group Label IDs
- Keyword Labels
- Keyword Label IDs
- Ad Labels
- Ad Label IDs
If you need to report on certain subsets of data based on the Google Ads labels, you can now do so on a number of different data views in TapClicks. If your labels in Google Ads change over time, those updates will be reflected in your TapClicks dashboard as well.
NOTE: A given entity from Google Ads can have many labels. These fields are comma separated to assist with filter criteria in your dashboard. Use wildcards to isolate the data you need for your data story.
Simpli.fi - added data view
We have exposed a new data view called Domains by Ad which has data coming from the Organization Domain Performance by Ad by Day report template. This new data view allows a user to report on data that previously was not contained in a single TapClicks data view, combining group bys from domains, campaigns, and ads.
NOTE: This data view is currently by request only. To enable, please reach out to your customer success manager.
Xandr Invest - access API via HTTPs only
We have made it so API calls made to Xandr Invest must do so using HTTPS. Xandr required this change for security purposes. By making this change, current customers using Xandr Invest will not experience any data interruption.
Smart Connectors
Added error messages toggle
We have added a new option to the email notifications section for the user to only be notified if the Smart Connector has a error or warning. Users can now opt to no longer receive success emails from the Smart Connector.
Implemented duplicate value notifications
We have added an error message if we detect duplicate rows. Users will now be alerted if their Smart Connector contains duplicate rows. The alert links to an article on how to remedy the issue.
Added file size to list of uploaded files
We have added the file sized information to the list of uploaded files.
New Experience
Tables now easier to use
For users of the New TapClicks Experience, we have improved the usability of most tables (e.g., Client Tables, User Tables, etc.) by adding sticky column headers to the top and pagination to the bottom. Additionally, the default number of records shown in a table is increased to 50. These small changes will help users see more items without scrolling and therefore will help users find items faster.
Google Sheets
Bypass data profile for self-serve users
We now by-pass the default data profile for Google Sheets self-serve instances to make all fields active. The Default Data Profile is applied to all Google Sheets instances, but these instances don’t have access to Data Profile page to make edits. This makes it so that all fields for a given Datasource/Dataview are accessible to Google Sheets self-serve users.
Added version release notes to sidebar
We have added the version of the release notes to the Google Sheets sidebar. Users can now see what is in each version of Google Sheets by clicking on the version number in the left nav of the sidebar.
Added group-bys to sorts
Group-by fields are now able to be sorted by as well. Users can now sort by all fields in their query.
TapOrders
Infinite webhook ability to push edits in flight
The TapClicks webhook system now supports sending flight cancels, edits, creates and comments to third party systems. This behavior works exactly like other web hooks, such as line items and orders.
