Before you begin: This article is written for TapClicks users who are familiar with dashboards and creating widgets. For more information about TapMap in general, please refer to FAQs: TapMap (Advanced Geo Visualizations). Please note that TapMap is a paid add-on feature. What is TapMap?
TapMap (Advanced Geo Visualizations) is a powerful addition that allows you to create interactive and visually engaging maps within the TapClicks platform. It enables you to plot and analyze location-based data, enhancing your data-driven decision-making process.
How to Create a TapMap Widget
1] On the left side menu click Reports and then click Dashboards.
2] There are three ways to locate the dashboard:
- You can search for it by entering the name into the search box in the upper left (results appear automatically).
- Or you can click Add Filters and enter a filter parameter into the Filter textbox (results appear automatically).
- Or you can navigate through the collection using the page controls in the upper right.
3] When you locate the dashboard you want to add a TapMap widget to, click it.
4] In the upper right, click the "+" icon.
5] From the widget menu, choose Data Widget.
6] The New Widget column will appear on the right.
7] Choose a Data Category and View that supports geo data. Data Views that support Geo will have a special location pin icon to the right when selecting them.
8] At the top of the widget menu, click the Geo Chart option.
9] Then, click the Styles tab.
10] Change the plot type to TapMap. Change the plot type to TapMap. If TapMap isn’t a visualization option in the dropdown, please contact your CSM or customercare@tapclicks.com for more information.
11] Select an option from the Map Type dropdown menu.
12] You may also adjust the following style options as you see fit:

Hide Geographic Features: Enable to hide map features like roads, parks, and water bodies for a cleaner visualization.

Hide Zero Values: Enable to exclude data points with zero values from the map display.

Geo Layer Opacity: Adjust the transparency of geographic layers, with 0 being fully transparent and 100 being fully opaque
13] Scroll down and choose a Layer Option that matches your data.
14] After you have finished configuring and styling your new TapMap, click Save at the bottom of the widget menu.
