New Smart Connector Delivery Type: Email
A Smart Connector allows you to add data to TapClicks from any source, even if we don’t already have a native integration. This feature now enables you to send files via email directly to the platform using a special system-generated email address. This saves you time and can potentially skip a bunch of steps.
Here’s how it works:
When creating a Smart Connector, you select from a dropdown of Delivery Types. You can now choose “Email” from this list. A panel will appear that has a system-generated email address that you can send files to. Once you send a file, it will be added to the Smart Connector for use. You’ll need to map the file appropriately, just as you would with any Smart Connector.
Some interesting use cases:
- If a team member or automated system sends you regular csv exports, you can just forward these to TapClicks using the system-generated address
- If you setup an automated export from an application, consider adding the TapClicks email as one of the recipients so the files go directly into the system
Note: The file must be an attachment to the email, not a link to an attachment
New Connectors - YP Calls & YP Traffic
Yellow Pages provides listing services to over 800,000 small/ medium businesses in the United States. These new Instant-On Connectors enable you to gain easy access to both Call and Traffic data in your TapClicks reporting. These connectors will help you understand engagement from your YP listings.
New Connector: Q1 Media - By Request Only
Q1 Media is focused on digital media services, in particular custom targeted segmentation, video/ CTV, and display. If you use Q1 Media services, this connector will allow you to easily bring in Order and Line Item data to your reporting. You can view creative assets directly in TapClicks, for example. Highly targeted market segmentation is something to consider if you are planning seasonal campaigns for the holidays, as Q1 Media targeting is a way to increase conversion rates and drive down advertising costs.
New Data View: AppNexus - Campaign Devices
TapClicks has updated an AppNexus Data View to include Devices by Split. This helps visualize engagement and behaviors by device type.
Marchex call transcripts available in grid widgets
A new data view has been added to enable you to view Call transcripts in grid widgets. Clients will now be able to see the text of call transcripts using the “phrase” metric in the Call Transcripts Data View.
When using this Data View in a grid, you’ll be able to see every individual statement made by both the caller and agent. The agent is the person receiving the call. Each call has a unique “Vendor Call ID” and each statement made by a speaker has a timestamp associated with it. By filtering by Vendor Call IDs and speaker, you will be able to see all the statements made by an individual.
Standardization of multiple client mappings
Over the last decade TapClicks has created over 230 native connections with the most widely used marketing data solutions in the world. During this time we have commonly seen our customers move the mapping from one client to another. This switch from a legacy client to a new client is done for a variety of reasons, and we are committed to supporting it in a way that makes it easy and reduces the chance for errors or duplication of data.
No action is required on your part, and third-party data that is currently mapped to a client in TapClicks will not be affected. However, if we have Connector campaign records that were previously mapped to a client in TapClicks, and are now mapped to a different client, we will delete the data associated with the old client as part of the standardization process.
If you have any concerns, please reach out to email@example.com and provide context, and we may look at solution options on a case-by-case basis.
The following Connectors will be standardized initially:
- Adform Buyer Solutions
- Benchmark Email
- Brightcove Video Cloud
- Campaign Monitor
- Lamark Media
- Site Impact
- Verizon Media Ad Server
