Executive Summary on Section level
Executive summaries are a way of providing context to a dashboard. In the past, they could only be displayed on the first section of a dashboard (Sections are the tabs along the top of the dashboard and allow you to separate data).
With this update, you can now have an executive summary on each section of your dashboard. This enables you to deliver context and insights directly onto the page your user is viewing, rather than referencing everything from the first section tab.
If you have existing executive summaries, they will be shown on the first section of the respective dashboard. If your dashboard has multiple sections, you can copy / paste the summaries to each section where the information should reside.
Note: Don’t forget to assign the client, client group, and date ranges where applicable.
If you plan on exporting your dashboards or using them in scheduled reports, each executive summary will show up on it’s own page, followed by a page break, and then on the next page the widgets for the respective section will be displayed. You may want to try this out before exporting for clients just to see how it looks.
For more information on how to create Executive Summaries, refer to this knowledge base article.
Webhook Publish - Support "Flight" level Sends
When using Orders & Workflow, you now have the ability to deliver line items over a period of time with more ease. You can group ads into “flights” and have those flights delivered during specified periods. For example, if you have 100 ads for a campaign that will run for five months, you can create five flights of 20 ads each. This is particularly important for customers that need to bill each flight from the order individually.
This update relates to the Wobhook Publish Feature. The Webhook Publish will support transmitting these flights. In addition, TapClicks has also exposed a feature that allow the person configuring the Webhook transfer the ability to
- include lines items with your order
- include flights with your line items
This grants external parties even great flexibility in consuming data from TapOrders.
New Connectors
Zeta DSP (formerly Sizmek Rocketfuel)
By Request Only
Do you think "Programmatic Advertising" is only for large companies? Think again.
Programmatic advertising is something every marketing team should consider. We're excited to announce Zeta DSP as a new connector to help you build your programmatic advertising practice. View their website here: ZetaGlobal
So you might ask: Why programmatic? What these platforms provide is reach and experimentation. Zeta DSP gives you the ability to deliver your advertising to over 2 billion unique identities in their database. This is a massive opportunity to understand what targeting and messaging works, where people spend their time and click, and how to refine your audience.
Zeta DSP is a cost effective alternative with incredible reach. And now you can view a multitude of metrics in TapClicks alongside your other campaigns to inform and refine your targeting. Now more than ever, spending your money wisely is a goal programmatic can help with.
Note: If you are already using Zeta DSP via a Smart Connector, there is no urgent need for you to switch to an Instant-On connector. Your data will be just fine how it is now. If you do move to the new Instant-On Connector you will need to rebuild your widgets, channels, calculations, and remap your data to the new data source. Please reach out to your Customer Success Manager if you have any questions.
Data Source updates
Boostability - New Data Views
The Boostability connection has two new Data Views. These both will reduce your need to login to more than one system to get this information. Now it’s all in TapClicks and available for your analysis. This data enables a user to see what kind of work has been done against a given account for a specific end date (the data is “to date”). This helps customers that are using Boostabilty track SEO actions and show their customers what kinds of activities are being completed on their behalf.
The two data views are:
- Work Distribution by Category - Data View
- Work Completed (prev. Tasks to Date) - Data View
Facebook & Amazon - Updated APIs
TapClicks has updated several APIs. A lot of work goes into maintaining APIs from various data sources and TapClicks manages the heavy lifting for you. This helps you avoid data interruptions when old API versions are updated.
The following APIs have been updated for the September release:
- Facebook Ads & Facebook Insights APIs to v7
- Amazon Ads API to v3
Google Ads - New Data View: Inherit "Labels"
Labels are now exposed on all child data views for Google Ads. If you rely on this field to segment data for reporting purposes you will now be able to use it for more robust widget visualizations. Previously, this field was only available on a single data view and that limited how a user could present the data, segmented to their unique needs.
Google Ad Manager - New Data View: Hour of Day Details
By Request Only
There is a new Data View for Google Ad Manager that offers an “Hour of Day” dimension against standard performance metrics like Impressions and Click (see your data view for more information). If you need to show performance based on specific Hours in a given day, this data view will enable that hour over hour analysis.
Local IQ - New Fields
Compare how much you’re spending on Search Activity vs Unified Display, and visualize that information on screen for reporting purposes. This will make reporting and widget creation easier.
These new fields aggregate “Spend” type fields from lower level data views:
- Search Activity Spend
- Display Spend
- Total Spend
Local IQ - New Data Views
By Request only
There are new Data Views in LocalIQ.
- YouTube Report
- Facebook Campaigns Report
If you are running advertising on YouTube and Facebook to bring that data into the TapClicks system for reporting purposes. If you would like to leverage this data, reach out to your CSM to get either or both data views enabled on your instance.
StackAdapt: Remove Timezone from Data Fetches
This is an enhancement to the StackAdapt Feed, ensuring TapClicks is not requesting a timezone when we fetch data. By not specifying a timezone in the data fetches, SatckAdapt will automatically return data in the timezone expected for the authenticated user. This means that if the StackAdapt account has their timezone set to Pacific, the TapClicks fetches will get the data in their SA timezone. Previously all data was fetched and stored in UTC for all connections.
For all StackAdapt users, we will be making this change, then triggering a historical reload to the earliest point that your instance has data in the database, restating historical data from StackAdapt to the timezone you expect.
